Library
“We believe that education is a shared responsibility of students, family and school..”. The School Library is much more than a library. It is a world of discovery and wonderment. It is a place where our young students learn the importance of books in their academic development. One of the outcomes of their regular visits to the library is their gradual understanding of the joy and inspiration books will bring throughout their lives. From First Steps on, wonderful and exciting stories are being read and shared.
The library plays an important role in the academic programme, by supporting the units of inquiry in the classrooms, and helping to teach the skills required by the students to become information literate in the 21st century. Children will also learn library and information skills and how they can use the library to enhance their classroom learning experience.
The School Library is a well-equipped resource centre, with over 5,000 books. Children visit as per their scheduled class and are free to visit individually to research or browse. The library is located at the basement of the school that ensures peaceful reading atmosphere.
